I personally don’t mind Willow/Kennedy. Oz and Tara were very similar and it was a refreshing change to see Willow go out with someone with a different personality. However, I hated that it happened in S7 when more important issues and storylines should have been dealt with. I would have liked if S7 was more about building friendships and strong bonds instead of romance. We had too much of that in S6.

I agree on your critiques of S7- but I don't really blame Willow/Kennedy for less focus on friendships. Outside of The Killer in Me, there were hardly any Willow/Kennedy shipper scenes. If you want to blame a S7 romance for coming at the expense of friendship scenes (both by plot and screentime), I think it's definitely Spuffy.

I agree. They didn't really take much of anyone's screen time, but I think I would have liked it more if Xander or Dawn was there for Willow instead of Kennedy.

Dawn didn't warm up to the idea of Willow's return and suspected that she went evil, it would be a nice little arc having Dawn mistrusting Willow for a while and then being the one to save Willow in The Killer in Me.
